FIELD NOTES AND CONTEXT
RECORDAR is a philosophy of life. It is based on travel as an enriching experience of personal growth. Travellers collect memories that they seek to preserve in a tangible form—as souvenirs. They are constantly in motion: while travelling, they are already planning their next destination. RECORDAR is a culture. It is expressed through the desire to discover, learn, grow, share, and pass on knowledge as a way of life. RECORDAR is a community. Inspired by a philosophy centred on travel as a transformative experience, it is driven by curiosity, the passion for discovering and sharing, and memory as the symbolic expression of our personal journey. No journey is ever truly solitary. RECORDAR is an activity. It brings together the physical and mental exercise that transcends different ways of travelling, embracing an intergenerational attitude. In one way or another, we all travel. RECORDAR is a symbol. Meaning projected onto a tangible object. The memory of a journey transformed into an object of desire. A symbol that preserves the values embodied by the journey, the traveller, and the destination.
CONCEPT
The word RECORDAR derives from the Latin recordari, meaning "to pass through the heart again." Through the art direction, we translated this idea into the language of fashion, exploring those tangible elements that allow us to reconnect with past experiences, memories, and emotions. Inspired by the notion of the souvenir as something almost magical, we focused on the objects we bring back from a place—objects that preserve, forever, the memory of what we experienced there.
