FIELD NOTES AND CONTEXT

Portraits is an experimental project that reflects on current social concepts, expressed through the dialogue between fashion and dance. Portraits of Noise is the first series of portraits within the Portraits project; these works explore how the daily overload of information is causing individuals to transform into noise themselves. The constant stream of stimuli we receive every day—notifications, messages, images, and videos across various communication channels and electronic devices—arrives at a pace too rapid for human assimilation.

CONCEPT

We live in a society immersed in noise, where interlocutors sometimes speak loudly, at other times remain silent; occasionally they do not listen, while at other times they choose to hear only their own echo. Through a conceptual development grounded in sociological documentation, a narrative of visual codes centered on the "society of noise" is presented.
